  We used to come here a lot but have decided not to anymore as it is always disappointing and not worth the money.
  The space is the only things that is great, food below average and service is always slow. It seems staff are happier to stand around the bar chatting than actually coming and taking your order.
  The food used to be quite ok especially the Sunday lunch, we thought it would get better with the arrival of a new chef- but it has gotten worse! The gravy tasted synthetic and was cold, the yorkshires were more like pancakes... awful. Plus often when waiters are cleaning your table they will forget to come back and get the rest of the plates- or even take your coffee order. The desserts are also disappointing and not special, not worth the money to be honest.
  So, in short, what a wasted opportunity in Hitchin, gosh, this place needs a BIG overhaul. It needs staff that actually CARE about food and customers, who actually LOVE what they do. what a shame, we won't be coming back.
